About The Position

The Product Tech role involves inspecting all assembled products in the run lane for delivery, assessing whether they can be repaired or must be replaced. The technician will restore products to like-new conditions using proven techniques such as refinishing, re-upholstery, and painting. This role requires repairing damaged stock, wood, fabric, leather, and metal furniture using approved methods. The Product Tech must understand and follow all safe work practices and rules, including WHMIS, and document/complete service reports and electronic paperwork within the company's software platform. They will also communicate any issues with service vehicles, attend training on furniture repair, inspect and validate repair parts, and ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures. Demonstrating company values and participating in the National Certification program are also key aspects of this role. Requirements

  • Understanding of safe work practices and rules, including WHMIS.
  • Ability to document and complete service reports and paperwork.
  • Proficiency in completing electronic paperwork within a software platform.
  • Ability to communicate issues with service vehicles.
  • Willingness to attend training on furniture repair topics.
  • Ability to inspect and validate repair parts.
  • Understanding and adherence to all safe work practices and rules.
  • Compliance with all Company policies and procedures.
  • Demonstration of company values.

Responsibilities
