About The Position

Arcosa Traffic Structures is searching for a Product Surface Prep to join their team in Sumterville, FL. This role involves preparing product surfaces through grinding and providing skilled assistance in assigned areas. The position also includes training for additional skills, performing general manual labor, and assisting skilled workers in various fabrication and assembly tasks. Adherence to safety rules and practices is paramount, and employees may participate in safety committees. The role also encompasses other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing work environment.
• The ability to maintain good attendance.
• Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant.

Responsibilities

• Grinding – remove scale from burn parts.
• Provide skilled assistance in assigned area.
• Train for additional skills.
• Perform general manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials.
• May assist skilled workers involved in fabricating, welding, assembling, installing, and processing by a variety of functions such as sorting and counting, feeding, and unloading parts, sweeping, cleaning, rough painting, and other manual labor tasks as needed.
• Follow all safety rules and practices.
• May be involved in safety committees or initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
