The Defense Sector, Decision Advantage Business Area at Leidos is thrilled to offer a unique opportunity for a Software Engineer to support a critical Air Force network system. As the prime contractor, Leidos will provide direction support to the Air Force Software Maintenance Group which serves as the Air Logistics Center single organic Source of Mission Critical Computer Resources (MCCR) and Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) software for all assigned prime system and equipment for all echelons of maintenance required. This position is 50% remote and 50% at the customer site on Warner Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robin GA. Ideal candidate will be located in the Warner Robins GA area. This position does NOT have relocation available.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree with 4 or more years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2 or more years of prior relevant experience.
  • U.S. citizenship and active secret clearance.
  • Network certifications such as Network+, Security+, CCNA, CCNP
  • Experience with computer systems and software, particularly Microsoft 365 products with intermediate to advanced ability in Excel
  • experience with COBOL and RPG languages and SQL is a plus.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience/knowledge of USAF ILS-S (Integrated Logistics System-Supply), FLITES, D035 Stock Control System; knowledge related to Defense Logistics Management Standard (DLMS) transaction formats and implementation conventions as well as legacy Military Standard Requisition and Issue Procedures (MILSTRIP) transaction formats is highly desired.
  • Strong military, federal, or defense contractor experience commensurate with a senior NCO rank or higher in logistics, property accountability, depot operations, and maintenance support required.
  • The most relevant military specialties include: Air Force 2S0X1 USN Ratings LS or RS Marine Corps MOS 3043 Army MOS 92Y Coast Guard Rating SK
  • Must demonstrate reliability, strong organizational and time management skills, and the ability to multitask and follow up on action items and requests in a timely manner.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Focus on providing quality support and accurate information.

Responsibilities

  • You will be working with a team software engineers providing sustainment support, maintaining the systems, managing and administrating its database, conducting hardware and software maintenances, and ensure customer access by creating and maintaining user accounts.
