The 2027 Summer Internship – Product Strategy Analyst, US positions are located at PIMCO’s Newport Beach, CA Headquarters. The internship is a 10-week program from early June to mid-August, including PIMCO Fundamentals Training in Week 1. Interns receive guidance from supervisors, peer mentors, and senior leaders, with formal mid- and end-of-summer reviews. The program emphasizes hands-on experience with AI-powered tools from day one, building future-ready skills. Interns also participate in PIMCO's Global Month of Volunteering and various cross-divisional educational, networking, and social events. Interns receive competitive compensation and a transition bonus for relocation, if applicable.

Requirements

  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree – preferably majoring in Business/Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering or applied science
  • Must be eligible to begin full-time employment from a PIMCO office between January 2028 – August 2028
  • Must be enrolled at a university during the Fall 2027 semester (August 2027 – December 2027)
  • A minimum 3.5 cumulative collegiate grade point average on a 4.0 scale (or the equivalent) at an accredited 4-year college or university
  • Must be willing to work in Newport Beach, CA
