About The Position

This person is responsible for supporting the sales force as the commodities product expert to drive sales and increase product knowledge. This individual will build relationships with our strategic partners and vendors to ensure the best pricing possible for United.

Requirements

  • 2 - 3 years counter sales experience
  • Strong attention to detail needed.
  • Minimum Associates Degree

Nice To Haves

  • Project management experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a product expert within the region.
  • Supports marketing our capabilities internally to members of the sales force as well as to project managers.
  • Analyzes the market and makes recommendations for commodities.
  • Runs promotions to drive sales.
  • Negotiates with vendors to earn the best pricing possible while still maintaining positive relationships.
  • Identifies and takes advantage of bundling opportunities with pricing and/or product.
  • May participate on SPAM Team
  • Develops ongoing positive relationships with Sales Team, local manufacturer’s reps and agents. Focuses on growing sales and hitting rebate targets with our high net profit manufactures.
  • Makes recommendations on inventory by articulating the needs of customers and researching the financial impacts.
  • Coordinates with all internal departments regarding logistics surrounding commodities as they move from the manufacturer through our distribution centers and eventually to our customers.
  • Quotes and manages projects ensuring material is delivered correctly, on time with proper cost.
  • Support minimizing scrap and the efficient use of inventory by active project managing including getting reels returned.
  • Follows-up with customers and vendors, keeping track of job status and assisting in closing orders.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Adhere to all United Electric health, safety, and environmental policies.
  • Act in a safe and positive manner always, ensure that those around you do not put themselves or others at risk. Your personal safety is your responsibility.
  • Complete an accident/Incident report for any safety and/or health infractions that occur or are witnessed.
  • Support all United Electric health, safety, and environmental policies for all employees within your branch.
