About The Position
Shimadzu Scientific Instruments is seeking a motivated Product Specialist to join our team! In this role, you will create technical marketing materials and sales support documents, provide product and applications training, and support technical activities for Shimadzu’s System Gas Chromatography products. You’ll engage directly with clients while collaborating closely with the Marketing, Sales, Service, and Regional teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, or a related scientific field
- Minimum of two years of experience in technical applications, method development, and laboratory operation using Gas Chromatography
- Experience in maintenance and repair of analytical instrumentation
- Strong attention to detail, exceptional customer service skills, and a dependable work ethic
- Willingness to travel, including overnight stays as needed
Nice To Haves
- a higher level degree is strongly preferred
- previous service or marketing experience are highly desirable
Responsibilities
- Provide marketing support to the sales team, including developing and executing demonstration strategies and competitive information
- Create sales support documentation, including feature/benefit analyses and positioning strategies for each assigned product
- Conduct evaluations of market needs and develop applications to address those needs
- Develop and deliver technical presentations, training courses, and product materials for customers and Shimadzu employees
