About The Position

The primary role of Product Specialist is to sustain and grow Electrolux Professional product lines in the market. To fulfill the role, the individual must maintain superior knowledge with respect to products, end user needs, product applications, competitors, sales channels, and pricing. In addition, the individual will serve as a technical expert able to provide guidance on product operation, features and benefits. This role is part of the product management team; however, the individual must work closely with sales, marketing, customer care, engineering, operations, and other groups to accomplish their goals. Finally, the Product Specialist engages end users, dealers, consultants, and influencers throughout the market. As such, the professionalism of this individual is of the utmost importance as they are a key representative of the Electrolux Professional Group.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience working in food service equipment industry in a key functional area

Responsibilities

  • Lead as a Subject Matter Expert for Electrolux Professional Products, projecting complex product details into clear value proposition for customer.
  • Partner with Channel reps and internal teams (Marketing, Engineering, Service) to grow key accounts, execute go-to-market strategies, and close gaps to drive product growth.
  • Lead cross functional discussions and translate market insights, operational capabilities, and customer needs into a robust, strategically aligned New Product Development (NPD) pipeline
  • Work closely with Marketing, Product Management, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure alignment on product requirements, manufacturability, and launch readiness.
  • Interpret complex engineering specifications and product design standards.
  • Support the creation of technical product literature and Marcom assets.
  • Lead small projects end-to-end using proven Project Management skills.
  • Apply knowledge of production processes and cost modeling to drive efficiency.
  • Participate and contribute towards NPD and formal Gate Reviews. Employ NPD tools to evaluate cross‑functional impact, resource requirements, and project ROI.
  • Work with suppliers of source food service equipment and ensure quality standards.
  • Utilize strong analytical skills to resolve complex technical and operational challenges.
  • Support activities involving customer satisfaction including working with the service team to proactively track issues.
  • Assist with product planning by observing changes in the marketplace, trends, and customer needs.
  • Help develop and execute trade show plans including equipment selection and ordering.
  • Share competitive actions observed in the market (new products, pricing, promotions, etc.).
  • Identify any barriers to growth and recruit help within the organization to address them.
