Product Specialist, Netsuite

TabsNew York, NY
$130,000 - $160,000Onsite

About The Position

Tabs is hiring a Product Specialist, Netsuite, to be the resident NetSuite expert inside our Product org. You'll sit at the intersection of Product, Engineering, and the customer-facing teams selling and implementing Tabs, turning deep, hands-on NetSuite expertise into playbooks, technical judgment calls, and roadmap input that scale far beyond what any one person could deliver deal by deal. This is a 0-to-1 seat. Today, NetSuite scoping and troubleshooting knowledge lives in a few people's heads, and every complex configuration question gets routed to whoever last solved something similar. You'll fix that: building the scoping playbooks, training, and internal tooling that let Solutions and Implementation handle NetSuite work independently, while you focus your own hands-on time on the hardest cases and on shaping what Tabs' NetSuite integration should support next. If you enjoy going deep on a single system, turning tribal knowledge into scalable process, and taking a step into the Product ecosystem, this role is for you.

Requirements

  • 5+ years hands-on NetSuite experience, ideally including time as an implementation consultant, techno-functional consultant, solutions architect, or in-house NetSuite admin
  • Deep, hands-on expertise with NetSuite's SuiteCloud toolset: SuiteScript (1.0/2.0), SuiteTalk (REST/SOAP), RESTlets, SuiteFlow, and SuiteBuilder
  • Working knowledge of NetSuite Advanced Revenue Management (ARM) and how it interacts with contract and billing data
  • Experience designing or maintaining bi-directional integrations between NetSuite and third-party systems, including master data and transactional data sync
  • Deep fluency in core NetSuite accounting workflows: multi-entity/multi-book consolidation, revenue recognition, AR/AP, Procure-to-Pay and Order-to-Cash
  • Comfortable building process and tooling from scratch in an ambiguous, 0-to-1 environment
  • NetSuite-native. You've lived inside SuiteScript, SuiteTalk, RESTlets, and ARM long enough that you can read a customer's custom script or a failed API call and know what actually broke, not just what it looks like.
  • Systems builder. You don't wait for a playbook to exist, you write it. "No process yet" reads as the job, not a blocker.
  • Decisive under ambiguity. You can make the "should Tabs support this, or should the customer adapt" call with incomplete information, and defend it to Product, Engineering, and GTM.
  • Low ego, high technical credibility. You collaborate closely with Engineering and the Integration PM, give credit freely, and care more about the integration working than who gets credit for it.

Nice To Haves

  • NetSuite certifications (SuiteCloud Developer, SuiteFoundation, ERP Consultant, or Administrator)
  • Experience with iPaaS/middleware platforms (Celigo, Boomi, Workato, or similar)
  • Experience working with or advising NetSuite VARs, SIs, or accounting firms
  • Fintech or vertical SaaS background

Responsibilities

  • Build and own the scoping and implementation playbooks that let Solutions Consultants and Implementation Managers independently assess NetSuite configuration complexity and integration feasibility
  • Run recurring training and office-hours sessions with GTM and Implementation to keep playbooks current and raise the org's baseline NetSuite fluency
  • Own discovery and continuous improvement of Tabs' internal implementation tooling: identify where manual NetSuite scoping work should become reusable tooling, and define what gets built
  • Serve as the internal escalation point for the hardest NetSuite configurations: multi-subsidiary, multi-book, non-standard revenue recognition, and beyond
  • Get hands-on when needed: prototype a SuiteScript or RESTlet fix, or a configuration change, to prove feasibility, and diagnose integration failures at the API/script level rather than just describing the symptom
  • Build and maintain a NetSuite sandbox environment that simulates real customer complexity (multi-subsidiary, ARM, custom scripts) so the team can validate integration behavior before it reaches customers
  • Partner with the Integration PM and Engineering to turn patterns in customer requests into product decisions: what Tabs should support natively vs. what's a customer-side configuration change
  • Review Engineering's proposed integration architecture and workflow decisions from a NetSuite technical perspective
