About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a First-Line Product and Service Quality Manager (Level K) to support the Community Manufacturing Partnerships (CMP) team in Auburn, Washington. As a member of the CMP Quality Team, you will play an integral role in improving, standardizing, and strengthening the Quality organization while supporting and growing our community outreach mission and uplifting local communities through meaningful employment. A manager in this role will develop cross-functional partnerships to achieve team and program goals while developing a work environment that promotes accountability, trust, teamwork, quality, and safety.

Requirements

  • At least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership."
  • 5+ years of experience with Quality Management System (QMS)
  • 3+ years of experience working with quality and/or manufacturing data systems (WebArt, CMES)
  • 3+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing
  • 3+ years of experience with root cause corrective analysis
  • 3+ years of experience performing or collaborating on Material Review Board (MRB) product review
  • Ability to travel up to 20% primarily throughout Puget Sound region with some domestic and international travel

Nice To Haves

  • 10+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing
  • 3+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal role
  • 3+ years of experience using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

  • Manages employees who evaluate and ensure that products, services, and processes comply with customer contract requirements, engineering requirements, company procedures, and government regulations
  • Develops and executes business plans, policies, and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies to improve performance
  • Provides education and coaching on the Quality System
  • May make airworthiness determinations on behalf of the company and regulatory agencies
  • Acquires and manages resources and leads process improvements
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers, and direct reports
  • Manages, develops, and motivates employees
