About The Position
The Boeing Company's Attack Helicopter Rotor System Engineering team is seeking an experienced or senior Manufacturing Liaison Engineer in Coxsackie, NY. This role will support the review of AH-64 Apache tail rotor blade manufacturing processes. The Apache tail rotor blade is a high-performance aerodynamic, lightweight, hybrid metallic and composite structure. This is a full-time, on-site, first-shift engineering position based at Ducommun, the supplier of Apache tail rotor blades, in their Coxsackie, NY facility. Additional intermittent support will be required in Mesa, AZ, utilizing a mix of virtual collaboration and travel. The position reports to the manager of Rotor System Engineering for Boeing Attack Helicopters.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
- 3+ years’ experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
- 3+ years’ experience gathering data and performing a Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA).
- Ability to obtain a U.S Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
- A final U.S. Secret clearance Post Start is required.
- Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Nice To Haves
- Mechanical or Materials engineering degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical or materials engineering.
- 3+ years of experience in liaison engineering preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assists in review of non-conforming product.
- Reviews and enhances manufacturing planning.
- Spot checks production technician training and skill level.
- Leads Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) for quality issues.
- Reviews tooling condition and effective operation.
