About The Position
US FOODS® is one of the largest food distributors with a culture and history of promotion from within, excellent training programs, and a continuous improvement focus. We are looking for a Product Returns Clerk who relishes the chance to push their potential, grow and reap the rewards of joining the US FOODS® family. The work takes place in normal warehouse environments with different temperature environments, as well as in cooler and freezer areas where temperatures may range from 40 degrees down to -5 degrees.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Integrity and reliability.
- Ability to build trusting relationships with team members.
Responsibilities
- Receiving and verifying that all driver-returned products are handled accordingly and clear the dock.
- Ensure product condition meets acceptable government and company requirements.
- Upon verification of returned product reason codes, the product will be prepared for re-slotting; including verifying package integrity, temperature guidelines, and manufacturer requirements.
- Return all products to the appropriate slot and verify slot accuracy.
- Set up and staging dock area for daily driver returns.
- Recreate manufacturer packaging, if required.
- Other duties as assigned by the manager.
