About The Position

The Product Repair Technician repairs products in a manufacturing environment, ensuring all work complies with company quality standards. The role includes diagnosing issues, identifying parts and materials for basic repairs, and escalating product issues when appropriate. The technician also cleans and cosmetically touches up repaired units, packages repaired products and accessories, documents work accurately, and responds to written and verbal communications. The position uses hand and pneumatic tools, electrical and mechanical diagnostic equipment, and requires familiarity with repair processes, basic manufacturing assembly and testing, and workplace safety.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three months of experience repairing any type of mechanical product in a manufacturing environment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to implement appropriate countermeasures.
• Intermediate PC skills, including use of ERP business systems, Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Understanding of the repair process.
• Ability to perform basic reading and math functions.
• Ability to perform basic manufacturing assembly and testing.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Positive and professional work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, basic drawings, and schematics.
• Clean repaired units and perform cosmetic paint touch-up as needed.
• Package repaired units and accessories.
• Use hand and pneumatic tools.
• Use electrical and mechanical diagnostic equipment.
• Identify parts and materials needed for basic repairs.
• Perform repairs in compliance with company quality standards.
• Escalate product issues appropriately.
• Respond to written and verbal communication requests.
• Participate in the department 5S program.
• Accurately report work performed.
• Demonstrate knowledge of OSHA and safety regulations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
