About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Product Repair/Modification Technician to support the Maintenance Team in Heath, Ohio. This role will have a heavy focus on electro-mechanical skills to include emphasis on wire harness routing & repair, installation of ESD components, electrical grounding & testing, and test instrumentation installation.

Requirements

1+ years’ experience with electrical/electronic troubleshooting, routing, splicing, connectors, bundle dressing, etc.
Experience with electrical and/or instrumentation test equipment
Experience reading and interpreting basic engineering drawings and specifications
Experience using basic Microsoft Office and office computing systems
Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Responsibilities

Disassembles systems components to support the correction of failures or implement changes
Performs routine troubleshooting of electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components
Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components
Inspects component before installation or usage to verify cleanliness and serviceability of components
Fabricates and modifies aerospace products according to specifications
Performs tasks associated with the safe handling of an aerospace vehicle (e.g. jacking, towing, system operations)
Works under general supervision
