Product Repair/Modification Technician
About The Position
The Boeing Company, specifically Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS), is seeking a Product Repair/Modification Technician to join its Maintenance Team in Heath, Ohio. This role is critical for supporting the maintenance operations and will heavily focus on electro-mechanical skills. Key areas of expertise required include wire harness routing and repair, installation of ESD components, electrical grounding and testing, and the installation of test instrumentation. The technician will be responsible for disassembling system components, troubleshooting electrical systems, performing validation/verification testing, inspecting components, fabricating and modifying aerospace products, and safely handling aerospace vehicles. The position operates under general supervision.
Requirements
- 1+ years’ experience with electrical/electronic troubleshooting, routing, splicing, connectors, bundle dressing, etc.
- Experience with electrical and/or instrumentation test equipment
- Experience reading and interpreting basic engineering drawings and specifications
- Experience using basic Microsoft Office and office computing systems
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Responsibilities
- Disassembles systems components to support the correction of failures or implement changes
- Performs routine troubleshooting of electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components
- Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components
- Inspects component before installation or usage to verify cleanliness and serviceability of components
- Fabricates and modifies aerospace products according to specifications
- Performs tasks associated with the safe handling of an aerospace vehicle (e.g. jacking, towing, system operations)
- Works under general supervision
