About The Position

Imagine what you can do here. Apple is a place where extraordinary people gather to do their lives best work. Together we create products and experiences people once couldn't have imagined, and now, can't imagine living without. It's the diversity of those people and their ideas that inspires the innovation that runs through everything we do. Provide early and ongoing manufacturing involvement to ensure new products are mechanically manufacturable; Work all phases of a product from concept to repeat manufacturing to end of life; Provide production support engineering with respect to technically complex testing methods, procedures and failure analysis; Design and develop technically complex processes to improve quality and efficiency; and Plan, develop and implement technically complex procedures for the testing and evaluation of soon to be released products. 20% international travel required. 40 hours/week.

Requirements

  • Developing Quality Programs and Control Plans, including Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (pFMEA), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Validation protocols for product risk management
  • Managing New Product Introduction (NPI) and production readiness, including executing Validation Plans with third-party vendors and suppliers (contract manufacturers) in high-volume production environments
  • Utilizing statistical analysis and data interpretation to assess production data, enabling the detection and isolation of root causes
  • Applying quality engineering methodologies, including Design of Experiments (DOE), Root Cause Analysis, Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), and technical Failure Analysis to investigate and resolve unit failures
  • Communicating complex technical updates and quality strategies to executive teams
  • Driving continuous improvement by tracking product reliability metrics, including Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), and evaluating process limits to reduce manufacturing faults
  • Utilizing mechanical and electrical engineering principles to effectively investigate and resolve product-related issues
  • Evaluating electronic assembly processes and implementing new manufacturing technologies to improve production quality, capacity, and efficiency
  • Utilizing data forensics and scripting tools like Tableau and JMP to investigate and resolve complex manufacturing assembly quality issues
