APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Provide early and ongoing manufacturing involvement to ensure new products are mechanically manufacturable; Work all phases of a product from concept to repeat manufacturing to end of life; Provide production support engineering with respect to technically complex testing methods, procedures and failure analysis; Design and develop technically complex processes to improve quality and efficiency; and Plan, develop and implement technically complex procedures for the testing and evaluation of soon to be released products. 20% international travel required. 40 hours/week.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering Management or related field
  • 1 year of experience in the job offered or related occupation
  • 1 year of experience with Developing Quality Programs and Control Plans, including Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (pFMEA), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Validation protocols for product risk management
  • 1 year of experience with Managing New Product Introduction (NPI) and production readiness, including executing Validation Plans with third-party vendors and suppliers (contract manufacturers) in high-volume production environments
  • 1 year of experience Utilizing statistical analysis and data interpretation to assess production data, enabling the detection and isolation of root causes
  • 1 year of experience Applying quality engineering methodologies, including Design of Experiments (DOE), Root Cause Analysis, Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), and technical Failure Analysis to investigate and resolve unit failures
  • 1 year of experience Communicating complex technical updates and quality strategies to executive teams
  • 1 year of experience Driving continuous improvement by tracking product reliability metrics, including Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), and evaluating process limits to reduce manufacturing faults
  • 1 year of experience Utilizing mechanical and electrical engineering principles to effectively investigate and resolve product-related issues
  • 1 year of experience Evaluating electronic assembly processes and implementing new manufacturing technologies to improve production quality, capacity, and efficiency
  • 1 year of experience Utilizing data forensics and scripting tools like Tableau and JMP to investigate and resolve complex manufacturing assembly quality issues
