This Product Owner plays a critical role in shaping Group Health solutions by maximizing the value of what gets built—owning decisions around prioritization, sequencing, and trade‑offs to ensure the right work is delivered at the right time. Working closely with a Product Manager and delivery teams, this role translates user needs, business priorities, and operational considerations into a clear, actionable product backlog. The ideal candidate brings strong relationship management, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills, along with experience in group health insurance and digital product delivery. This is an opportunity to have direct influence on outcomes, partner with leaders across Nationwide, and help evolve Group Health products during a period of growth and change. This position can be staffed remotely for potential applicants with critical industry skills and relevant experience. As the Consultant, you will partner with key team members to define the product and journey vision and strategy. This role will be expected to discover, refine, maintain and deliver a product and journey that addresses user needs while creating the right user experience. You will also be a member of the agile team who serves as the customer proxy for the development team. You will be responsible for working with stakeholders to deliver solutions that meet the desired business outcomes, measured by a set of KPIs. You will have end-to-end accountability for prioritizing and maintaining a holistic product backlog (including new build, enhancement work, technology driven work etc).
