Valtech is seeking a Product Owner who will act as a strategic force on every engagement. This role involves shaping the direction of work, aligning teams and stakeholders, and ensuring clear progress towards shared goals. The ideal candidate possesses a blend of product expertise and leadership presence, comfortable engaging with C-suite executives and participating in sprint reviews. They will actively explore how AI and emerging tools can enhance digital product development, team efficiency, and product quality. The role requires a minimum of 8 years of experience, a growth mindset, and a drive for lasting impact. Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience as a Senior Product Manager in a digital consultancy or agency environment, with a track record of leading product delivery on complex client engagements.
  • Proven ability to align cross-functional teams and senior client stakeholders around a shared product direction by navigating competing priorities, ambiguity, and organizational complexity with confidence.
  • Strong executive presence and communication skills; able to frame problems, present recommendations, and lead difficult conversations with clarity and credibility at all levels.
  • Hands-on experience leveraging AI tools to accelerate the SDLC (e.g., AI-assisted synthesis, requirements generation, prototyping, documentation, delivery reporting, development).
  • Genuine curiosity about how AI and emerging technology can be applied to product work, with informed perspectives on practical and valuable applications.
  • Experience owning product roadmaps and backlogs end-to-end, with a strong sense of prioritization and a clear methodology for making and communicating trade-off decisions.
  • Solid commercial awareness, including understanding of SOW management, budget health, and the connection between delivery decisions and revenue/margin outcomes.
  • Experience in Agile delivery environments, with the ability to adapt frameworks to engagement needs.
  • A track record of developing others through formal mentorship, line management, or leading by example.
  • Natural collaborator and dot-connector, aligning people through clarity, empathy, and conviction.
  • Strong intellectual curiosity, particularly regarding the AI landscape and its implications for digital product development and management.
  • Confident and polished communicator, adapting style to different audiences (technical discussions with engineers, board-level strategy conversations).
  • Strong commercial awareness and strategic thinking, with the ability to identify and develop opportunities within client relationships.
  • Leading by example on engagements, setting a high bar for quality, professionalism, and creative ambition.

Responsibilities

  • Define and own the product vision for engagements, ensuring alignment between the Valtech team and client stakeholders on direction and decision-making.
  • Steer client and internal teams towards shared alignment, proactively resolving conflicts between business priorities, delivery constraints, and user needs.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders, serving as a credible point of contact for product decisions, trade-offs, and strategic direction.
  • Lead discovery and delivery by maintaining a clear, prioritized roadmap that balances user needs, client goals, and technical realities, focusing the team on outcomes.
  • Champion the use of AI tooling across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to accelerate research, analysis, requirements, and delivery, coaching teams and clients on practical applications.
  • Demonstrate executive presence in client interactions, communicating with clarity and confidence during roadmap presentations, scope discussions, and escalations.
  • Identify and surface delivery, stakeholder alignment, and commercial risks early, proposing mitigations and leading rapid responses when necessary.
  • Own or co-own the product roadmap, making confident prioritization decisions based on user insights, data, and client strategy, and clearly articulating the rationale.
  • Identify opportunities to extend or expand Valtech's engagements within client accounts, supporting commercial conversations with delivery credibility and strategic insight.
  • Develop junior product and delivery team members through mentorship, coaching, and leading by example.
  • Contribute to the evolution of Valtech's Product Practice by sharing learnings on AI tooling, delivery approaches, and client engagement.
