About The Position

The Product Owner, Power Platform Solutions, supports the strategy, delivery, and lifecycle of business applications and automations built on Microsoft Power Platform, SharePoint Online, and Copilot. This role partners with stakeholders to define requirements, manage the product backlog, and turn those into actionable tasks the development team can execute through design, testing, deployment, and ongoing optimization. As the Product Owner, you'll ensure solutions align with business needs, governance standards, and best practices while driving innovation through emerging technologies and AI enabled capabilities.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years' progressive experience in a related field
  • 3+ years' experience developing solutions in Microsoft Power Platform (Canvas apps, Model-driven apps, Dataverse, Power BI dashboards & reports, Power Automate).
  • Experience developing with Microsoft Copilot (Copilot Studio, prompt engineering, Copilot integration with Power Platform and M365 apps).
  • Experience with solution-based Power Platform development, including ALM and promoting solutions across DEV-UAT-PROD
  • Experience extracting requirements from users to create complex Power Platform solutions.
  • Hands on experience with development in Microsoft 365: Power Platform Development (Power Apps and Power Automate)
  • Experience leading a global development team
  • Experience with architecture design for Power Platform and Fabric
  • Experience with COE principles for Power Platform environments, solutions and deployment
  • Experience with ServiceNow for tracking projects, tasks, etc.
  • Excellent experience with model-driven Power Apps customizations with advanced configurations.
  • Strong documentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Power Platform, SharePoint Online, and Copilot development, governance, and best practices.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven stakeholder management skills—known for reliability, proactive communication, and managing expectations effectively

  • Microsoft certified Power Platform Functional Consultant (PL-200) preferred
  • PL-900 (Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Partners with business stakeholders to define, refine, and prioritize product features, requirements, and backlog items.
  • Facilitates requirements gathering sessions and/or collaborate with Business Analysts to capture user needs and translate them into actionable deliverables for developers.
  • Communicates proposed functionality, design decisions, and scope with stakeholders—securing formal sign off before development.
  • Creates and manages test plans for deliverables with the business stakeholders, handing off to testers with appropriate context and knowledge transfer.
  • Ensures comprehensive testing is performed; review test results and track issue resolution.
  • Actively participates in the full lifecycle of Power Platform, SharePoint Online, and Copilot solutions, including requirements gathering, design review, development oversight, testing coordination, deployment planning, and solution retirement.
  • Oversees the creation of business applications, workflows, and automations using Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and Copilot integrations—ensuring alignment with business needs and platform best practices.
  • Coordinates and manages Copilot extensions, prompt workflows, and AI assisted solutions to improve business productivity and user experience
  • Ensures complete solution documentation, including architecture overviews, dependencies, deployment procedures, support guides, and user documentation.
  • Participates in or facilitates code and solution design reviews to ensure quality, standards alignment, and maintainability.
  • Coordinates with IT stakeholders on architecture decisions, governance requirements, environment usage, and delivery timelines.
  • Collaborates on sprint planning, backlog refinement, and work assignment with the development team.
  • Removes roadblocks by escalating issues, clarifying requirements, facilitating decisions, and negotiating priorities as needed.
  • Identifies, evaluates, and coordinates Proof of Concepts for future-state solutions.
  • Clearly communicates risks, trade-offs, and technical implications to enable informed decision making across product and IT teams.
