About The Position

Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a full-time contract (W2) Product Owner role. This position is for a duration of 6+ months and is an onsite role located in Charlotte, NC. The primary responsibility is to align product strategy with execution, maintain the product roadmap, and prioritize the body of work for current and future delivery. The Product Owner will translate business problems into AI product epics and user stories with clear acceptance criteria, measurable outcomes, and defined human-in-the-loop decision points where needed. This role involves partnering with data science, data engineering, and software engineering teams to prioritize data requirements, model development, integration needs, and technical enablers. The Product Owner will also define and track AI product performance and quality metrics, drive continuous improvement through experimentation, and manage system plans and artifacts to ensure timely delivery. Ensuring responsible AI practices are embedded in delivery, such as transparency, fairness, privacy/security, and appropriate use controls, is also a key aspect. Additionally, the role includes leading, coaching, and developing a matrixed team and collaborating with other product teams to maintain a unified product strategy.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in product ownership or management within financial services, client onboarding, or customer relationship systems.
  • Experience delivering data-driven or AI-enabled products in partnership with engineering and data science teams (for example: recommendations, decisioning, document intelligence, workflow automation, or generative AI assistants).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to overcome ambiguity.
  • Prior experience with Agile methodologies and a robust understanding of the full software development lifecycle.
  • Working knowledge of core AI/ML concepts (model training versus inference, features, drift, evaluation, and limitations) and ability to communicate trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities
