About The Position

Under general supervision and with independent judgment, collaborates with leadership to support and execute the vision for assigned functional area, outlining the requirements to be developed, and working with Scrum teams to ensure functionality of the product meets expectations.

Requirements

  • Ability to work legally in the United States.
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or four to six years of concentrated professional experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the success of projects for assigned business unit by enabling the output of the development team to be maximized within a Scrum framework.
  • Acts as liaison and primary communicator between the development team and other stakeholders, providing clarity on the vision throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assesses value, develops cases, and prioritizes stories, epics and themes to ensure work is aligned with approved project strategy.
  • In partnership with IT leadership facilitates sprint activities by mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of release/sprint goals.
  • Serves as Scrum teams’ primary contact for business related questions and decision-making pertaining to project scope and functionality.
  • Manages backlog of stories within a project so development teams always have appropriate and adequate tasks to work on.
  • Collaborates with IT leadership to ensure sprint releases are developed by the deadline and within budget.
  • Adds clarity to project requirements so there is a shared understanding of what is to be implemented.
  • Writes new user stories.
  • Specifies acceptance of each user story.
  • Signs off on each completed user story.
  • Works closely with functional area leadership and business stakeholders to understand the business requirements, value to the functional area, and project prioritization and then communicate requirements needs to Scrum team to ensure understanding of project scope, objectives and requirements.
  • Manages backlog of stories within a project by analyzing, refining, and ensuring Scrum teams understand the requirements and prioritization of the approved projects.
  • Involved in release planning and in collaboration with IT leadership, helps set expectations for delivery of new functionalities.
  • Stays abreast with Agile/Scrum best practices and new trends.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
