About The Position

UWorld, LLC has an opening for the position of Product Owner. This role serves as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the technical team, managing project priorities, objectives, and deadlines. The Product Owner will work with Business Analysts to define user needs and requirements as user stories, establish acceptance criteria, and manage the project backlog. Responsibilities include creating wireframes and mockups, facilitating meetings to resolve issues and advance projects, managing daily project goals and product schedules, and communicating project status and product performance to all stakeholders through various Agile ceremonies. The role also involves creating release notes, gathering and presenting data to customers, driving technical documentation, and evangelizing the Agile process. The Product Owner will facilitate Agile ceremonies using JIRA and Confluence, conduct data analysis using Excel and Tableau, and participate in release and go-to-market planning with the marketing team.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation including Business Analyst, Systems Engineer, or related experience.
  • 3 years of experience with Agile, JIRA, and Confluence.

Nice To Haves

  • Use of Tableau, Power BI, Figma, Balsamiq, Java, Python, SQL, HTML, JavaScript, REST API, Azure DevOps, Postman, AWS, Azure, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders (executives, sales, marketing, customers) and the technical team to set project priorities, objectives, and deadlines.
  • Work with Business Analysts to capture user needs and requirements as user stories, establish acceptance criteria, and manage the project backlog.
  • Create wireframes and mockups as needed to solidify plans with stakeholders and the development team.
  • Schedule and drive meetings between all stakeholders and the technical team to surface issues, remove blockers, identify fixes, and advance projects.
  • Manage daily project goals and product schedules, adjusting expectations and priorities.
  • Communicate project status and product performance to all stakeholders (including all levels of leadership) via key events including daily standup, sprint demo, sprint retro, and backlog refinement.
  • Create internal and external release notes for each product release.
  • Gather data, summarize, and present relevant information to internal and external customers, online and in-person.
  • Work with Business Analysts or independently to drive technical and feature documentation.
  • Be an evangelist for the Agile process ensuring conformance to process and documentation.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies including daily standups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint demos, and retrospectives using JIRA and Confluence to ensure project momentum and stakeholder alignment.
  • Conduct data analysis and reporting using Excel and Tableau, summarizing key insights for stakeholders.
  • Participate in release and go-to-market planning with the marketing team for new product features.
