About The Position

Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Product Owner position! This is a 12+ month contract opportunity and will be on-site in Buffalo, NY. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services.

Requirements

6+ years of Product Owner, product management, or related experience
Strong Agile/Scrum experience, including backlog grooming and PI planning
Banking industry experience required
Experience writing detailed user stories and acceptance criteria
Proven ability to work closely with technical teams to deliver committed work
Strong communication skills with experience reporting to senior business stakeholders
Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence
Experience using Miro or Figma for roadmap development

Nice To Haves

Experience with Account Opening (AO), deposits, or embedded banking (strongly preferred)

Responsibilities

Build and own the product vision and roadmap aligned with strategic objectives.
Prioritize and manage the product backlog(s) based on overall product strategy.
Represent the voice of the customer and ensure story clarity for the delivery team.
Make autonomous, well-informed decisions to move product delivery forward.
Write user stories and define acceptance criteria.
Partner with agile teams to create effective communication tools and progress tracking mechanisms.
Participate in and lead agile ceremonies and team activities.
Collaborate across business units and with other Product Owners to align customer journeys and dependent backlogs.
Use design thinking methods and analytics to focus on outcomes over outputs.
Influence business partners across the organization to advocate for customer-centered solutions.
