The Product Owner for Risk Assist and/or Fraud/UW Experience has the authority to make decisions impacting the scope and direction of deliverables, ensuring all work provides business value and aligns with the core principles and strategy for the system.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Product Owner.
  • Completed a post-secondary degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology (IT), Computer Science or have related Insurance industry experience.
  • For Risk Assist/Fraud - Experience with Pricing and Business Intelligence modelling.
  • For UW Experience – Experience with insurance/financial services industry processes and practices.
  • Experience with Guidewire suite (preferably PolicyCenter) is a requirement.
  • Strong understanding and demonstrate experience working in an agile environment.
  • This position primarily works with majority non-francophone groups, and teams located outside of Québec, and requires proficiency in English. The essential non-French duties are not assignable to adjacent or other team members.

Nice To Haves

  • Having an Insurance designations like FCIP, CIP is an asset.
  • Having or working towards the Change Management, Certified Scrum Master, Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or other professional designation is an asset.
  • French is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with various stakeholders to resolve product issues and create seamless integration
  • Applying Agile delivery principles to drive the delivery of business value, communicating progress, eliciting feedback and enabling stakeholder reviews to validate processes
  • Partnering with management to provide leadership and prioritize the backlog for the team to ensure capabilities are in scope, on time and of high quality
  • Serving as the primary source of information for the team, delivering details of the items and offering clear definitions of the expected capability, the intended value to the customer and all acceptance criteria
  • Representing the department by owning issues, forming solutions, and defining outcomes to effectively deliver on the Product roadmap.
