About The Position

We are a pioneering force in financial technology, specializing in innovative SaaS-based solutions for mortgage servicing. As a key influencer in our Product department, we are seeking a seasoned Senior Staff Product Owner to take a leadership role in the entire life cycle management of our technology/digital product.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, or relevant discipline with 4 - 6 years of experience in a related field. Experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Proven experience in a product owner role within the financial or mortgage servicing industry.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in using design thinking techniques and tools for product definition.
  • Familiarity with scrum/agile development techniques and tools.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage the entire product life cycle.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with development teams and stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Hands-on servicing transfer experience, including loan boarding, service releases, data mapping, reconciliation, and post-transfer operational support — ideally with exposure to non-Sagent transfer processes and tools.
  • Operator-level understanding of how transfers impact downstream servicing functions such as escrow, payment processing, loss mitigation, customer communications, and regulatory reporting.
  • Product and systems-thinking mindset, with the ability to translate operational pain points and cross-system dependencies into scalable tools, workflows, or product requirements rather than manual workarounds.
  • Track record of process improvement and proactive risk identification, anticipating transfer issues before they occur and redesigning processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
  • Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills across operations, compliance, engineering, and product teams, with comfort tackling ambiguous problems and a strategic lens toward long-term solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Apply a strong theoretical knowledge base to set and achieve goals through independent and influential work.
  • Demonstrate specific functional expertise, typically gained through experience and formal education.
  • Provide advanced technical leadership and guidance as a project manager, leveraging extensive technical expertise.
  • Manage the entire life cycle of a technology/digital product, including purpose, definition, design, planning, development, prototyping, and testing.
  • Apply design thinking techniques, such as user stories, wireframing, and prototyping, to define product features.
  • Develop the product roadmap based on effort sizing and overall value to the business.
  • Frequently engage with development teams and business stakeholders for sprint reviews and feedback sessions.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with product development goals.
  • Utilize team scrum/agile development techniques, including continuous delivery and field trials.
  • Leverage tools for team collaboration, product testing, issue tracking, and backlog management.
