Product Owner – Parts eCommerce

International MotorsLisle, IL

About The Position

We are looking for a visionary and execution-driven Product Owner for the Parts eCommerce platform. This is a high-impact role at the intersection of automotive expertise, customer experience, and digital commerce. You will own the product end-to-end — from defining the multi-year vision to shipping features that drive revenue, reduce friction, and delight both B2B and B2C customers searching for the right part at the right time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of technical project/program management experience
  • At least 1 years of lead experience OR Master's degree and at least 3 years of technical project/program management experience
  • At least 1 years of lead experience OR At least 8 years of technical project/program management experience
  • At least 1 years of lead experience
  • Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
  • We do not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)
  • 5+ years of product management or product owner experience, with at least 2 years in a B2B or B2C eCommerce context.
  • Solid grasp of B2B commerce fundamentals: order management, tiered/contract pricing, credit terms, returns workflows, and DMS/ERP integration concepts.
  • Proven ability to own a product vision end-to-end — from discovery and roadmap through delivery and iteration.
  • Strong analytical skills — comfortable with conversion funnels, A/B tests, and KPI tracking.
  • Experience writing clear PRDs and user stories, and working in agile/scrum environments.
  • Communicates with precision across engineering, operations, and executive stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Automotive parts or aftermarket experience — fitment logic, supersessions, core/return charge workflows, or PDC operations.
  • Hands-on experience with a composable commerce platform (Spryker, Magento, BigCommerce, or similar).
  • Familiarity with DMS/ERP systems such as CDK, Procede, Karmak, or SAP.
  • Exposure to B2B integration standards — EDI, Punchout (cXML/OCI), or procurement platforms like Ariba or Coupa.
  • Experience with wholesale or dealer commerce — replenishment logic, rebates, or dealer-to-OEM ordering flows.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a compelling 1–3 year product vision for Parts eCommerce that connects customer needs, market trends, and business goals.
  • Translate vision into a clear, outcome-oriented roadmap that the entire organization understands and rallies behind.
  • Identify market opportunities through competitive benchmarking, customer research, and data analysis.
  • Define and maintain end-to-end order workflows — states, transitions, exception handling, and timeouts — so digital order status accurately reflects fulfillment and delivery operations.
  • Establish requirements for customer-specific and tiered pricing (contract pricing, fleet tiers, zone/branch price lists), promotional overrides, and pricing synchronization with back-office systems.
  • Define requirements for split shipments, tax handling, payment and credit-terms flows, and the full core/return charge lifecycle — deposit collection, return authorization, condition/grade capture, credit issuance, and reconciliation.
  • Drive requirements for complex order scenarios including order splitting, partial fulfillment, backorder handling, and credit limit enforcement.
  • Own onboarding and operational performance for B2B customer integrations, including EDI and Punchout (cXML/OCI), and drive improvements that reduce time-to-go-live for fleet and dealer customers.
  • Partner with Engineering and Enterprise Architecture to integrate external procurement platforms (e.g., SAP Ariba, Coupa) with our commerce engine.
  • Define wholesale commercial rules — tiered pricing, rebates, replenishment logic — and translate them into implementable product stories.
  • Support dealer stock and emergency order workflows by partnering with architecture and engineering on SAP DMS and PDC inventory integrations.
  • Develop and prioritize the integration roadmap across back-office systems (CDK, Procede, SAP, Karmak), accounting for differences in APIs, data models, and deployment sequencing.
  • Define functional requirements for the integration layer — orchestration logic, retry and failure handling, monitoring/observability, and operational alerting.
  • Define, monitor, and report KPIs for pricing and inventory synchronization accuracy, order acknowledgement latency, and workflow exception rates.
  • Write crisp, unambiguous user stories, acceptance criteria, and PRDs that engineering and design can act on immediately.
  • Ruthlessly prioritize the backlog using frameworks such as RICE or impact/effort, protecting the team from scope creep.
  • Run tight discovery and validation cycles — prototypes, A/B tests, and user testing — before committing to full builds.
  • Lead Scrum ceremonies and translate complex integration initiatives into well-defined user stories with measurable outcomes and edge-case coverage.
  • Align executives, sales, marketing, supply chain, and customer service around the roadmap through regular, clear communication.
  • Say no with conviction — and with a rationale tied directly to strategy, not preference.
  • Represent the voice of the customer in every cross-functional forum.

Benefits

  • competitive market-based compensation
  • comprehensive benefits package designed to support employee wellbeing
