About The Position

We are hiring a Product Owner – Digital Assets (Crypto) within the Posting Product Group to own the business product vision and backlog for how Schwab books, posts, reconciles, and services digital assets. This role is ideal for a business product leader who is comfortable using Agentic AI to support discovery, requirements, and stakeholder communication.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of product ownership or management in financial services, custody, banking, or capital markets.
  • Strong knowledge of books and records, posting & reconciliation workflows.
  • Demonstrated fluency with Agentic AI tools to support discovery, writing, analysis, and stakeholder synthesis.
  • Ability to turn complex technical and regulatory concepts into clear business requirements.
  • Experience working in regulated environments with Risk, Compliance, and Legal partners.
  • Strong communication skills and comfort presenting to senior leadership.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with digital assets, crypto custody, blockchain, stablecoins etc.
  • Understanding of on-chain concepts such as wallets, keys, fees, confirmations, staking, and bridging.
  • Experience with AI-assisted delivery models.
  • Strong systems thinking and ability to influence without authority.

Responsibilities

  • Own the vision, roadmap, and backlog for digital asset posting, books and records, and lifecycle servicing.
  • Define workflows for trade capture, posting, reconciliation, reporting, and exception handling.
  • Understand trade life cycle with relevant experience with custody and settlements.
  • Serve as the business owner for how digital assets move through Schwab’s books and records.
  • Partner with various stakeholders to ensure crypto activity is posted accurately, reconciled daily, and audit ready.
  • Ensure product design meets regulatory, accounting, and tax reporting requirements.
  • Embed controls into workflows with Legal, Compliance, and Risk.
  • Use autonomous Agents as a core tool for discovery, specification, validation, and communication.
  • Apply AI-assisted tooling to: Break epics into clear user stories and acceptance criteria, Draft PRDs, business rules, and workflow diagrams, Summarize stakeholder input, meeting notes, and regulatory materials, Create executive-ready summaries and decision memos.
  • Partner closely with TPM and engineering on a multi-step, iterative AI-centric development lifecycle (AI-DLC) that supports agent-assisted delivery.
  • Identify ways AI can simplify, accelerate, or reduce risk in product and operational workflows.
  • Serve as the primary business product contact to coordinate across teams, including partnering with multiple scrum teams as needed.
  • Lead backlog refinement, sprint reviews, roadmap reviews, and stakeholder demos.
  • Align roadmap priorities with delivery sequencing, dependencies, and risk.
  • Own business go-live readiness, including runbooks, UAT, and post-launch health.
  • Provide concise, decision-oriented updates to senior leadership.
