Help us help others, and join Team Unum today! General Summary: The Product Owner, Contact Center Run leads delivery for a high-performing Agile team supporting several of our contact centers. This role is primarily focused on Run, managing a high-volume backlog of enhancements and production changes to ensure operational stability and continuous improvement. The Product Owner partners closely with business and technology stakeholders to prioritize work, maintain backlog integrity, and ensure operational readiness for new capabilities. In addition to Run execution, this role contributes to discovery efforts for future Grow initiatives, identifying larger opportunities that may require funding and strategic roadmap alignment. Success in this role requires strong decision-making, stakeholder influence, independence, and the ability to balance operational demands with longer-term platform health.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of Contact Center ecosystems
  • Experience with Amazon Connect telephony platform and/or IVR technologies required; Verint experience helpful
  • Demonstrated experience serving as a Product Owner in an Agile environment
  • Proven ability to manage high-volume backlogs in operational (Run) environments
  • Strong communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Ability to influence without authority and effectively partner across business and IT
  • Self-starter with demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience

Nice To Haves

  • Product Owner certification (PSPO, CSPO, POPM) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Own, prioritize, and maintain a well-defined and groomed product backlog aligned to business and technology roadmaps
  • Translate business needs into clear features and user stories with defined acceptance criteria
  • Lead delivery for a high-volume Run environment, ensuring quality, predictability, and value realization
  • Represent both business and technical bodies of work, including items required for long-term platform integrity
  • Establish and track product, operational, and adoption KPIs
  • Ensure operational readiness prior to deployment of new capabilities into production
  • Partner with stakeholders to assess requests and appropriately route larger initiatives toward Grow funding opportunities
  • Monitor benefit realization and incorporate feedback into backlog prioritization
  • Provide transparency into roadmap health, progress, risks, and trade-offs
  • Engage actively with cross-functional stakeholders, influencing decisions and driving alignment
