About The Position

This role provides metallurgical support for rail products and customers. The successful candidate will act as the primary technical contact for the railroad customer base, handle domestic and international travel to support customers and attend conferences, and participate in technical committees related to rail products. Responsibilities also include investigating quality claims, communicating findings to customers, cross-training in other metallurgist positions within the rail program, and obtaining NDT Level 3 certification. The role also involves gathering customer feedback to guide rail R&D efforts and supporting other product offerings as needed.

Requirements

• B.S. in Metallurgical/Materials Engineering (or equivalent degree)
• Outstanding written and oral communication abilities, including presentation skills
• High attention to detail
• Ability to travel

• Support other product offerings as needed
