About The Position

Clay is seeking a Product Marketer to lead its expansion into the marketing persona. This is a high-impact role focused on reaching a new and meaningful audience within Clay's existing customer base and beyond. While marketers already represent a significant portion of Clay's customers, the specific value proposition for them is currently underdeveloped. The Product Marketer will be responsible for the positioning, use cases, and campaigns that educate marketers on the significance of GTM engineering for their work. In close collaboration with the GTM team, they will stay informed about customer interactions to guide the evolution of this persona. Clay is a rapidly growing company that has raised significant funding and achieved substantial revenue, with a large and engaged community of customers, partners, and members.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience in product marketing or growth marketing.
  • Experience in marketing a GTM product, or prior B2B SaaS product marketing experience.
  • Strong positioning and messaging craft, with the ability to communicate ROI in language marketers care about.
  • Strong visual design craft - ability to tell a story visually in slides and ship a great one-pager.
  • Marketing acumen - ability to credibly talk to the ICP and understand the marketing craft.
  • 0 → 1 comfort - ability to find product-market fit and guide cross-functional teams.
  • Commercial acumen - ability to identify the highest-leverage use cases and personas.
  • Comfortable being external-facing and excited to connect with prospects and customers.

  • Experience as a marketing generalist, ideally at an early-stage company where you owned multiple parts of the function.

Responsibilities

  • Build the Clay for Marketing playbook, owning the positioning, use cases, and campaigns.
  • Translate Clay's value proposition for a new audience, adapting positioning historically built for RevOps.
  • Communicate ROI in language that resonates with marketing teams and their key performance indicators.
  • Drive cross-sell within existing customers by partnering with a specialized expansion team.
  • Engage in customer conversations, sales deals, and prospect interactions to refine positioning and assets.
  • Prioritize high-leverage marketing use cases and sub-personas.
  • Develop a reusable framework for expanding into additional personas.
  • Surface product feedback to the EPD team and partner with Product to address persona-specific gaps.
  • Utilize AI tools, including Clay, to enhance efficiency and automate routine tasks.
