The Product Marketing Manager, reporting to the Director, Product Marketing, will be a data-driven individual responsible for building go-to-market plans for new features within Skimmer. This role involves informing the product roadmap, leading the New Product Introduction (NPI) process, developing monetization strategies, and crafting positioning and messaging. The manager will develop a deep understanding of the market and customer needs, serving as the 'connective tissue' between the market, the product, and the Skimmer team.

Requirements

  • In-house Product Marketing experience
  • Proven experience in building and executing commercialization strategies, inclusive of ICP definition, GTM strategy, pricing and packaging and NPI process
  • Superior ability to hunt out key insights from a variety of different sources and translate those insights into meaningful action
  • Data-driven storyteller: written, verbal, and visual through a variety of mediums (social media, video, blog, text and more)
  • Love to bring cross-functional teams together to create the best possible experience for the customer
  • Strategic thinker who can influence others with kindness and collaboration
  • Actively use AI tools (such as Claude or ChatGPT) in day-to-day workflows, whether for research, writing, analysis, or ideation
  • Track record of quickly learning and adopting new technologies as they emerge; exploring, experimenting, and bringing what works back to the team.
  • Experience with tools such as Hubspot, Clay, Notion, Supademo (or similar), and expertise in Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini

Responsibilities

  • Develop a rich understanding of the Pool Service space, particularly the profile of pool professionals within micro to large businesses through ongoing primary research (customer interviews, win/loss analysis, survey programs) and continuous competitive monitoring.
  • Synthesize market inputs into actionable insights to inform both short and long-term strategy for the business.
  • Collaborate with Product Management to shape the Skimmer roadmap, ensuring a best-in-class customer experience and enabling customers to manage their entire operation via the app, thereby accelerating customer acquisition, adoption, and expansion.
  • Help the leadership team shape the Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy, including pricing, packaging, and commercialization, leveraging expertise in both market and product.
  • Architect Skimmer's positioning, working closely with brand and content marketing to create messaging that resonates with pool professionals and builds trust.
  • Serve as the 'glue' that binds product, sales, and marketing together, ensuring the customer's voice is heard and their needs are met.
