About The Position

The Genetec Product & Industry Marketing team is a group of passionate marketers who bring innovative solutions to market through impactful launches, compelling storytelling, and sales & partner enablement. We are looking for a strategic and creative Product Marketing Manager who thrives at the intersection of technology, marketing, and business strategy. If you're naturally curious, energized by complex challenges, and passionate about crafting narratives that resonate with customers, this role is for you. Reporting to the Manager of Product & Industry Marketing, you will own the evolution of our product and portfolio narratives and messaging strategy. You will shape how Genetec positions the value of its products in the market, helping sales, partners and end users understand what makes our solutions the best in class and how we help them protect the everyday. Success in this role requires a deep understanding of customer needs, competitive dynamics, and market trends, combined with exceptional communication and storytelling skills. You will play a critical role in ensuring our value proposition is consistently and effectively communicated across every touchpoint. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in B2B marketing, product marketing, or related roles
  • Proven success collaborating with Product Management, Sales, Communications, and other cross-functional teams
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Strong storytelling abilities with a talent for simplifying complex concepts
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate market insights into actionable strategies
  • Highly curious, self-motivated, and eager to continuously learn
  • Comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Willingness to travel as required
  • Fluent in both French and English, written and spoken (this role regularly interacts with international customers, partners, and colleagues)

Nice To Haves

  • Strong understanding or technical knowledge of cloud B2B software
  • Experience in budling product narratives
  • Experience with customer-centric frameworks such as Jobs to Be Done
  • Knowledge of the physical security, cybersecurity, or enterprise software industries
  • Familiarity with channel partner and ecosystem marketing

Responsibilities

  • Develop and continuously refine the core product narratives, messaging frameworks and positioning for the Genetec portfolio
  • Define compelling value propositions that clearly articulate customer outcomes and business value
  • Ensure messaging remains relevant, differentiated, and aligned with market needs
  • Create sales and partner enablement materials that empower teams to confidently communicate Genetec's value
  • Train sales teams, channel partners, and internal stakeholders on key messaging and positioning strategies
  • Champion consistent messaging across customer-facing functions
  • Drive the adoption of the Jobs to Be Done (JTBD) framework across the organization
  • Build tools, resources, and frameworks that help teams connect customer challenges with Genetec solutions
  • Translate complex technologies into clear, compelling, customer-focused narratives
  • Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor positioning
  • Develop competitive messaging, battlecards, and strategic counter-positioning that reinforce Genetec's unique strengths
  • Act as a trusted advisor on portfolio messaging and market dynamics
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for portfolio messaging and customer value narratives
  • Present at industry events, customer engagements, partner conferences, webinars, and internal meetings
  • Collaborate with technology and channel partners to ensure alignment and consistency in how Genetec solutions are positioned in the market
