About The Position

Restate is seeking its first product marketing hire to own positioning, messaging, launches, packaging, and customer stories end-to-end. The role focuses on AI-native companies and AI use cases, aiming to close the gap between Restate's capabilities and the market's understanding of durable execution. The Product Marketing Manager will work directly with founders, engineers, and the early team to shape how Restate is perceived in the market, bringing narrative, market instinct, and craft to make complex infrastructure understandable and adopted. This is an opportunity to own the narrative for an emerging category in AI infrastructure, shaping how a foundational layer of the AI stack is understood and adopted.

Requirements

  • A strong product marketer who has owned positioning and messaging for a technical product end-to-end and can showcase results.
  • Proficient in AI infrastructure; able to talk about agents, orchestration, and infra AI in a way that resonates with engineers building systems at scale.
  • A great writer with sharp messaging, briefs, and narratives written for the customer and built to land.
  • Marketing instinct with experience successfully launching products and owning a launch end-to-end.
  • AI fluency; naturally leverages AI to amplify work and understands how AI is reshaping search and discovery.
  • Open to various backgrounds, including experience at a developer-led or infrastructure company.

Responsibilities

  • Define and own how Restate is positioned for AI use cases: agents, LLM orchestration, human-in-the-loop, and long-running AI processes across AI-native startups and enterprises adopting AI.
  • Stay close to the durable-execution and agent-infrastructure landscape and define differentiation that holds up in technical evaluations and procurement.
  • Run product launches and public moments end-to-end so Restate stays highly relevant in the right conversations.
  • Showcase proof through case studies, customer narratives, and use-case briefs that translate Restate’s capabilities into outcomes the right buyers believe.
  • Partner with product and the founders on how Restate Cloud, self-hosted, and BYOC offerings are packaged and priced, bringing market and customer insight into the decisions.
  • Create content that helps Restate get chosen across web pages, briefs, decks, talks, battlecards, and objection handling for technical and business audiences.
  • Work with engineers and the founders to keep positioning consistent across channels and get Restate in front of the AI-native teams who need it.
  • Synthesize customer conversations, win/loss, and competitive signals into clear input to the product roadmap.
