About The Position

Scopely is looking for a Product Marketing Manager to join their Star Trek™ Fleet Command team. This role is responsible for shaping how the game is understood, experienced, and adopted by millions of players worldwide. It sits at the intersection of Product, Live Operations, Marketing, Community, Campaigns, and Player Experience. The Product Marketing Manager will partner with Product teams to translate complex systems, features, and roadmap initiatives into compelling player value, ensuring launches have a clear narrative, coordinated execution, and an exceptional player experience. Product Marketing acts as the connective tissue across the player-facing organization, ensuring alignment around strategy, messaging, and go-to-market plans. Success requires strategic thinking and hands-on execution, including developing positioning, owning go-to-market strategy, creating messaging frameworks, building launch materials, guiding creative development, and coordinating cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate enjoys simplifying complexity, thrives in cross-functional environments, and is energized by turning ambitious product ideas into experiences that players understand, value, and remember.

Requirements

  • Translated complex products into compelling player stories, developing positioning and go-to-market strategies that improved player understanding, feature adoption, engagement, and commercial performance.
  • Led integrated product launches, bringing together Product, Creative, Community, Lifecycle Marketing, Analytics, Campaigns, and external partners around a unified player experience.
  • Influenced product direction through player insights, leveraging qualitative feedback, quantitative data, and market trends to shape messaging, prioritization, and launch strategy.
  • Built scalable marketing frameworks, creating repeatable processes, messaging systems, and launch playbooks that improved organizational effectiveness and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Partnered with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-impact initiatives in fast-paced, live-service environments where priorities evolve quickly and execution matters.
  • Mentored marketers and fostered collaborative, high-performing teams while maintaining a hands-on approach to strategy and execution.
  • Have 5+ years of experience in Product Marketing, Go-to-Market, Integrated Marketing, or related roles within games, entertainment, technology, or digital products.

Responsibilities

  • Own the player-facing narrative for Star Trek Fleet Command, translating product strategy into clear, compelling experiences.
  • Champion the player perspective throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Establish messaging frameworks for consistency across player-facing touchpoints.
  • Translate complex gameplay systems, progression mechanics, monetization initiatives, technical improvements, and roadmap priorities into compelling player-facing narratives.
  • Develop positioning, messaging, and value propositions for new features, seasonal content, technical improvements, and franchise initiatives.
  • Ensure every major release tells a clear story connecting product innovation with meaningful player outcomes.
  • Own integrated go-to-market strategies for major game features, seasonal arcs, technical improvements, and franchise partnerships.
  • Build launch plans aligning messaging, timing, audiences, business objectives, and player education across player-facing channels.
  • Define player segmentation and messaging strategies to support players throughout their lifecycle and progression journey.
  • Establish launch objectives and success criteria in partnership with Product, Marketing, and Analytics teams.
  • Serve as the central marketing partner connecting Product, Community, Campaign Marketing, CRM, Creative, Analytics, Player Experience, Publishing, and external partners.
  • Coordinate launch readiness across all player-facing functions.
  • Facilitate launch planning, milestone reviews, and cross-functional communication.
  • Partner with Community and Player Experience to ensure player communications, support readiness, and recovery messaging remain aligned.
  • Create creative briefs, messaging frameworks, presentations, launch documentation, and executive materials.
  • Review and approve marketing assets for consistency and alignment with product strategy, brand standards, and franchise guidelines.
  • Partner with Creative teams to develop high-quality marketing materials.
  • Manage approvals and asset delivery with Paramount and other external partners.
  • Monitor feature adoption, player engagement, sentiment, campaign performance, and commercial outcomes.
  • Partner with Analytics, Community, and Player Experience to identify player friction, adoption barriers, and optimization opportunities.
  • Translate player insights into actionable recommendations for future launches and product improvements.
  • Continuously refine positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies through experimentation, testing, and post-launch analysis.
  • Lead and evolve the Product Marketing discipline for Star Trek Fleet Command.
  • Manage the Campaign Manager, providing coaching, prioritization, and strategic direction.
  • Own the Product Marketing operating cadence.
  • Build trusted relationships across Product, Marketing, Creative, Publishing, Licensing, and executive leadership.
  • Establish scalable frameworks, documentation, and best practices that strengthen Product Marketing's impact.
