About The Position

This role is for a Product Marketing Manager focused on 3DP (3D Printing) products and the medical market. The individual will be responsible for shaping the messaging and positioning of these offerings to customers. The position operates in a highly matrix environment, requiring cross-functional collaboration with marketing, product management, sales, engineering, and customer service to develop marketing strategies aimed at driving double-digit revenue growth for Protolabs' digital manufacturing services in the Americas.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of product marketing experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business/Marketing
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office tools and Salesforce/CRM
  • Proven track record of developing effective marketing strategies and on-point messaging and positioning.
  • Keen focus on customer-centric and data-driven approach to problem solving
  • Excellent people skills with ability to interact at all levels of the organization, including colleagues, cross-functional peers, executives, customers, and third parties
  • High levels of curiosity and desire to learn more
  • Interest in manufacturing technologies, product design/development, and/or other similar engineering disciplines
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident (green card holder), or foreign national granted refugee or asylee status due to ITAR regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA preferred
  • B2B, B2C and/or e-Commerce experience highly desired
  • Experience with 3DP printing or medical industry is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop a marketing strategy for dedicated Protolabs' services, including identifying key target audiences, competitive landscape, growth objectives, and strategies for customer acquisition and retention.
  • Serve as the marketing point person for key marketing growth strategies as a member of the service line growth team.
  • Act as a liaison between product management and marketing communications for product launches and go-to-market planning.
  • Lead messaging and value proposition development to differentiate Protolabs' capabilities.
  • Monitor and analyze competitors' marketing strategies across various channels (digital and traditional) to ensure market leadership and differentiation.
  • Gain deep understanding of customer personas and how Protolabs' value proposition applies to multiple use cases, socializing this knowledge with the marketing team for content development and messaging.
  • Ensure all marketing messages articulate the correct value and are relevant to intended audiences/personas.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product management to develop innovative marketing campaigns to raise awareness, generate demand, and drive revenue.
  • Utilize data analytics to assess service line health and identify growth opportunities.
  • Partner with sales and marketing to develop necessary sales enablement tools and resources.
  • Understand and document the customer/buyer journey, including information sources and decision-making processes.
  • Partner with sales, product management, and cross-functional teams to achieve upper funnel service-level metrics (leads, uploaders, quotes).
  • Participate in the cross-functional demand planning process to ensure forecasting accuracy and revenue attainment.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
