About The Position

Attention is seeking a Founding Product Marketing Engineer to sit at the intersection of product, engineering, sales, growth, and storytelling. This role will own how Attention is translated from something technically powerful into something the market immediately understands and wants. The individual will work directly with the VP of Growth, founders, Product, and Engineering, with the mandate to make Attention impossible to misunderstand and hard to ignore. As the first person in this function, there is an opportunity to define product marketing at Attention and eventually build a team.

Requirements

  • Exceptional communicator, able to write various types of content (positioning documents, sales slides, landing pages, product descriptions).
  • Strong product instincts and enjoyment in understanding how technology works.
  • Comfortable getting technical; familiarity with APIs, AI models, data flows, prompts, prototypes, and developer tools.
  • Ability to build things oneself, such as prototyping landing pages, demos, videos, or workflows.
  • Extremely high standards for craft.
  • Analytical mindset, interested in understanding customer behavior and data.
  • Creative and opinionated approach, not defaulting to standard SaaS marketing playbooks.
  • Ability to move fast without extensive structure.
  • Comfortable interacting with customers, sellers, engineers, and executives.
  • Desire to build the function from scratch.
  • 3+ years in product marketing, product, growth, strategy, or a similar analytical and creative role.
  • Experience at a high-growth B2B SaaS or AI company, or at a top strategy consulting firm (McKinsey, Bain, BCG).
  • Experience launching products or bringing new categories to market.
  • Demonstrated ability to create exceptional written or visual work.
  • Sufficient technical curiosity to deeply understand an AI product.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience marketing to Sales, RevOps, or other GTM teams.
  • Deep knowledge of the sales technology landscape.
  • Proficiency with tools like Cursor, Claude Code, Figma, Webflow for building.
  • Experience creating product demos, interactive experiences, or technical content.
  • Experience at an early-stage startup building something from zero.
  • Possesses great visual taste.

Responsibilities

  • Launch products people remember. Own the positioning, narrative, launch strategy, assets, demos, and distribution for major product releases.
  • Turn product into story. Understand Attention at a technical level and translate complex AI capabilities into simple, sharp stories that customers immediately understand.
  • Create a content machine. Do the 0-1: create videos, landing pages, agents, and other experiences that make the product tangible. And build a scalable engine from there.
  • Create customer proof. Turn real customer outcomes into case studies, videos, before-and-after stories, ROI narratives, and repeatable sales ammunition.
  • Own competitive intelligence. Know our space and competitors better than almost anyone. Understand where the market is moving and make sure Attention stays ahead of it.
  • Find the message in the data. Analyze wins, losses, usage, customer conversations, and market feedback to understand what resonates — and what doesn’t.
  • Create things that spread. Find creative ways to make Attention show up in the market through social, product moments, launches, experiments, events, and unconventional campaigns.
  • Shape the product itself. Bring what you learn from customers and the market back to Product and Engineering and help influence what we build next.
