About The Position

Salesforce is seeking a Director, Product Marketing to own the technical narrative for MuleSoft. This role requires a technically fluent storyteller who can engage with both technical experts and executive leadership. The position is responsible for developing the headline narrative, demos, and keynote presentations that shape market understanding of MuleSoft's role in the agentic enterprise. MuleSoft is at the forefront of integrating traditional systems with an AI-native control plane, enabling autonomous agents to operate securely across enterprise systems. The Director will partner with world-class engineers and product leaders to articulate this vision and MuleSoft's capabilities, such as Agent Fabric, Anypoint, and the agentic runtime.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in product marketing, technical marketing, developer relations, solutions engineering, or executive content development in enterprise software, with significant experience in technically deep roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and improve architecture diagrams.
  • Comfort with concepts like APIs, event-driven architectures, microservices, identity and access management, agent protocols, and AI/ML system design.
  • Proven track record of developing and delivering mainstage-quality keynote content for Tier 1 events, working directly with C-level or SVP+ executives.
  • Exceptional storytelling skills with a portfolio of relevant work.
  • Strong executive presence; comfortable being a trusted narrative partner to senior leadership.
  • Experience producing live technical demos, including script, architecture, failure modes, and punchline.
  • Track record of leading large, ambiguous, cross-functional initiatives with multiple senior stakeholders and tight deadlines.
  • Excellent writing skills across various formats (keynote scripts, executive briefs, bylines, demo scripts, decks).
  • Proficiency in Apple Keynote, Google Slides, Figma, and modern presentation/design tooling.
  • Passion for emerging technology, particularly agentic AI, LLM orchestration, integration, and API governance, with a point of view on category direction.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25% to support global event execution.
  • BS/BA required; technical degree (CS, Engineering) or equivalent technical experience preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on familiarity with agentic AI frameworks, MCP, A2A, agent orchestration patterns, or experience marketing AI/ML platforms.
  • Experience in integration, iPaaS, or API management, or data integration product marketing.
  • Prior experience as a developer, solutions architect, sales engineer, or PM translated into a marketing career.
  • Experience with developer audiences and technical communities (e.g., TrailblazerDX, KubeCon, AWS re:Invent).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the technical narrative and keynote moments for MuleSoft across major events and briefings.
  • Own the end-to-end keynote development process, including content, architecture diagrams, demo flow, customer proof, and on-stage delivery support.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, audience-appropriate stories for diverse stakeholders.
  • Partner with senior leadership to craft executive presentations reinforcing MuleSoft's positioning.
  • Conceive, script, and oversee production of flagship technical demos showcasing MuleSoft's capabilities.
  • Develop reference architectures and visual frameworks to explain MuleSoft's role in agentic AI.
  • Partner with Product Management to shape positioning for upcoming releases.
  • Collaborate with PR, AR, content, design, events, and field marketing to ensure narrative consistency.
  • Lead without direct authority, driving alignment across cross-functional teams.
  • Partner with marquee customers to develop compelling stories and case studies.
  • Engage directly with industry analysts to influence category narratives.
  • Maintain a sharp view of the competitive landscape and translate it into differentiated positioning.
  • Author and ghostwrite executive-level content, including POVs, blog posts, and conference talks.
  • Represent MuleSoft externally through speaking engagements, podcasts, and media interactions.
