Product Manager

Covera Health
•$150,000 - $185,000

About The Position

Covera Health is seeking a Product Manager to own and expand products including Protect AI and Protect Seniors, as well as new products as they are added. The role works with Engineering, Clinical, Data Science, AI, Operations, other internal teams, and customers to understand clinical and business needs and turn them into well-built products. Much of the product work involves platforms, APIs, data, and AI rather than polished user interfaces. Customers may primarily experience the products through metrics and reporting, including monthly, quarterly, or annual presentations and spreadsheets. The Product Manager owns product vision and roadmaps, supports platform and API delivery, defines success measures and customer reporting, and helps ensure product quality throughout the lifecycle. The role also champions effective planning, documentation, development, testing, and delivery practices, and uses AI tools for discovery and rapid prototyping.

Requirements

  • 8 or more years of relevant professional experience; relevant experience may include product management, engineering, or other roles that built applicable skills.
  • Strong technical background and comfort working with platforms, API specifications, and data rather than focusing on user interface design.
  • Experience in healthcare, ideally in healthcare SaaS or health technology.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, Python, and JSON.
  • Ability to analyze data to answer product and business questions.
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools for rapid prototyping and comfort working with AI-forward products; production coding is not required.
  • Ability to work with internal teams and customers, including customers who experience products through metrics and reports rather than a user interface.
  • Experience writing detailed product requirements and reviewing technical design documents.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced startup or growth-stage environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
  • Passion for improving healthcare quality for millions of patients.

Responsibilities

  • Work with internal teams and customers to understand clinical and business needs and translate them into product direction.
  • Own the product vision and roadmap for assigned products, expanding existing offerings and supporting new ones.
  • Partner with Engineering and AI teams to design and deliver platform capabilities and API specifications.
  • Write detailed product requirements and ensure stakeholder requirements remain traceable across product releases.
  • Review specifications and technical design documents and provide timely, meaningful feedback throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Identify gaps in existing products and use them to inform an overarching product vision rather than adding temporary fixes.
  • Define success metrics and customer reporting that demonstrate measurable product impact.
  • Use AI tools, including AI-assisted prototyping, to accelerate discovery, analysis, and delivery.
  • Champion good practices for planning, documentation, development, testing, and delivery across teams.
  • Clearly communicate product priorities, progress, risks, and tradeoffs to stakeholders and leadership.
