About The Position

As a product manager on Venmo payments, you will help design, shape, and drive payment solutions to enable our partners to deliver incredible customer experiences. Your primary objective will be to lead the payments strategy, vision, growth, and delivery of high-quality payment offerings to our clients. You will focus on providing innovative solutions that are scalable and robust, improving the payment experiences for our customers.

Requirements

  • 1+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of experience in financial services with deep working knowledge on e-commerce payment methodologies.
  • 2+ years of experience in leading the development of technical products and large-scale platforms with high-reliability requirements.
  • Strong technical background, familiarity with AWS managed payments service is a plus.
  • Deeply data-driven, enthusiastic, and passionate around agile product management, with the goal of delivering breakthrough consumer experiences.
  • Proven experience executing a transformational product strategy while successfully tackling ambiguity independently.
  • Excellent people and communication skills are essential.
  • The candidate should have the ability to develop strong working relationships at all levels of management, both inside and outside of PayPal.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the product or platform discovery/build requirements as well as see through that it is successfully deployed
  • Act as a product evangelist to socialize the insights as well as gather feedback to make your product effective for all the users
  • Collaborate with various internal stakeholders to solve complex merchant issues
  • Utilize data analysis techniques to make informed decisions
  • Coordinate, write, and action merchant communication and follow-up
  • Work with cross-functional teams to establish operational procedures and provide supporting documentation
  • Communicate with stakeholders, both internal and external, including merchants if necessary
  • Understand business needs and solve customer problems
  • Build analytical product/platform solutions; explore data to find actionable insights
  • Work with the Lead Product Manager to understand the problem space
