About The Position

As part of the talented Lowe Boats team, as a Product Manager, you will actively gather, manage, and analyze consumer wants and behaviors, as well as competitive insights, to create useable strategies and tactics that drive to industry leading solutions in product portfolio. They are the champion of the customer through all phases of concept to launch. In addition, this role will be responsible for the improvement of existing products and their value to the customer. They will leverage all insight sources for new parts, components, designs, systems and the creation of new boat models. A creative and collaborative developing leader who is ready to make an impact. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Design, Management or other research related field is required.
  • One - two years’ experience in product management or new product development is required
  • Experience in the design and execution of customer-focused research projects is required.
  • Strong analytical and statistical technical skills are required to gather and summarize data to find solutions in product, messaging and services.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills required
  • Must be a self-starter capable of working both independently, as well as part of a team and have proven attention to detail.
  • Decisive: able to make fact-based decisions.

Nice To Haves

  • Boating or recreational industry experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to travel approximately 25-50%, with overnight stays, as business needs require.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and analyze data on customer demographics, preferences, needs, and buying habits and translating this information into functional requirements
  • Assist with strategic portfolio management and product planning, leading the brand to new spaces and consumer opportunities.
  • Determining entry and exit of products.
  • Act as a liaison between Brand Management, Design, Engineering, Research & Design (R&D), Purchasing, Sales, and Manufacturing
  • Communicate up and down the organization and problem solve issues in a collaborative manner
  • Manage vendor partnerships while taking into consideration budgets and customer ideals
