Product Manager

About The Position

The Product Manager owns the strategy, roadmap, and outcomes for a core area of the company’s platform, as well as the stakeholder relationships that shape it. The role aligns priorities across multiple teams into one clear, sequenced plan, sets the standard for what “ready for engineering” means, and makes sure the work being built is the work that matters most. It operates with a high degree of autonomy. It is the primary point of accountability for stakeholder alignment across engineering, client services, sales, marketing, and operations, and it drives cross-team decisions to documented outcomes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product management experience, ideally in B2B SaaS, CRM, lead generation, or insurance/fintech.
  • Proven experience owning stakeholder management and aligning priorities across multiple teams with competing goals.
  • Track record of owning a product area’s roadmap and delivering measurable business outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to run backlog refinement and sprint planning, and to improve those processes with engineering teams.
  • Experience working with client-facing teams and external partners on integration or feature requests.
  • Strong written communication: able to turn messy conversations into clean, unambiguous requirements and concise leadership updates.
  • Proficiency with Jira or a comparable tool, and comfort using data to inform decisions.
  • Comfortable pushing back on engineering, stakeholders, and leadership when scope, requirements, or priorities are not sound.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship

Nice To Haves

  • Stakeholder Management: Owns stakeholder relationships end to end, sets and manages expectations proactively, and keeps the right people informed at the right level of detail.
  • Multi-Team Alignment: Reconciles competing priorities across teams into a single plan, makes the tradeoffs visible, and drives decisions to a documented outcome.
  • Outcome Ownership: Defines what success looks like, measures against it, and connects day-to-day prioritization to business results.
  • Requirements & Solution Design: Turns ambiguous business problems into clear, testable, well-scoped solutions, including edge cases and acceptance criteria.
  • Prioritization & Tradeoff Management: Balances client requests, technical debt, compliance, and roadmap commitments, and makes tradeoffs explicit and defensible.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Gives honest, specific status (“not yet, here’s what’s outstanding”) rather than guessed timelines, and adjusts the message for leadership, peers, and partners.
  • Process Ownership: Has the judgment to shape intake, refinement, planning, and acceptance to fit the team, and to change them as the team and product evolve.
  • Partnership Over Transaction: Works with engineering as a peer, collaborating by default but willing to hold a firm line on scope and quality

Responsibilities

  • Own stakeholder management for the product area: identify key stakeholders, set expectations, manage communication cadence, and be the single point of accountability for alignment.
  • Gather priorities from engineering, client services, sales, marketing, operations, and leadership and reconcile them into one shared, sequenced roadmap
  • Surface conflicting priorities early, put the tradeoffs in front of the right decision-makers, and drive them to a documented resolution
  • Run regular alignment touchpoints (roadmap reviews, priority check-ins, stakeholder updates) so changes in direction are communicated before they become surprises.
  • Manage cross-team dependencies and external partners so that every open item has a named owner, a next step, and a follow-up cadence.
  • Escalate with a clear recommendation when a decision belongs above the team.
  • Own the product strategy and roadmap aligned to company objectives.
  • Lead discovery with client services, sales, and business stakeholders to identify the underlying problems behind requests and validate opportunities before committing to work.
  • Translate business ideas into clear technical requirements — most requests arrive as a business problem, not a deliverable, and it's in this role to determine what's actually needed and who else needs to weigh in.
  • Own backlog health so work arrives at planning well-defined, right-sized, and sequenced against the roadmap.
  • Write and maintain requirements, acceptance criteria, and edge cases precise enough that engineering can build without re-litigating scope.
  • Partner with engineering on feasibility and technical approach early, and make scope decisions when tradeoffs arise mid-delivery while keeping stakeholders informed of the impact.
  • Define and evolve how intake, refinement, sprint planning, and stakeholder acceptance work for the team, adjusting as team size, cadence, and product needs change.
  • Partner with engineering to maintain accurate documentation and decision records so past decisions remain traceable.
  • Identify recurring friction in how work moves between teams and drive fixes rather than workarounds.
