About The Position

The Product Manager will be responsible for overseeing the development and execution of product delivery ensuring that they are delivered on time, within scope and in alignment with business objectives. In close collaboration with the VA Product Owner, who sets the strategic direction, the Product Manager will translate strategic goals into actionable product plans and manage cross functional teams to achieve desired outcomes. The Product Manager will also provide weekly analytic reports on product performance and development progress, ensuring data-driven decision-making and alignment with business goals.

Requirements

  • BS degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience in product management, with a proven track record of successful product delivery.
  • Must be a US Citizen to obtain a security clearance.
  • 8-10 years of agile methodologies, product development lifecycle and roadmap planning.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with experience in managing cross-functional teams.
  • Analytics skills to interpret user feedback, user research outcomes and product performance data.

Responsibilities

  • Translate strategic goals into actionable product plans.
  • Manage cross-functional teams to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Provide weekly analytic reports on product performance and development progress.
  • Work closely with VA Product Owner to ensure that the product strategy and vision are clearly understood and translated into actionable initiatives for the product team.
  • Collaborate with engineering, user experience design, user research and VA.gov platform teams to implement product plans and drive development, ensuring that all teams are aligned with the strategic goals.
  • Define and prioritize the product backlog in alignment with strategic direction, balancing short-term user needs with long term business objectives.
  • Generate and provide weekly analytic reports on product performance, development progress and key metrics to the VA Product Owner.
  • Oversee product performance post launch to identify improvements, bugs and usage analytics.
