Product Manager, Event Planning

Ande•New York, NY
•$170,000 - $215,000

About The Position

Ande is hiring a Product Manager to build its product line for teams that plan and host corporate events. The role works with a small team and founding customers to define the product, deliver it, and earn adoption. The Product Manager owns the experience end to end, from event planning and booking through the event and its results, and shapes how AI performs work alongside event teams while keeping people in control where needed. The position also owns the product's foundation, including its core data objects and connections to customers' existing systems. The role partners closely with design and engineering to ship a highly crafted product at startup speed, prototypes ideas directly, and works cross-functionally on launch, positioning, and adoption. It also coordinates with other product managers because the product draws on Ande's marketplace, booking, and payments platform, and defines success measures and prioritization using data, customer feedback, and business objectives.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of Product Management experience, including taking at least one product from zero to one with paying customers.
  • Experience building B2B workflow or collaboration software used by teams every day as the place where work gets done.
  • Empathy for busy operators and an understanding of how to make complex, multi-step, multi-person work feel simple.
  • AI-native product instincts, including having shipped features where AI does substantive work within a product and having a perspective on where AI should and should not act.
  • Strong design sensibility and a high bar for craft, with the ability to partner closely with designers.
  • Comfort with data models and integrations, including reasoning about core objects, permissions, and synchronization with other systems of record.
  • An empirical mindset, including engaging with customers, observing their work, and using evidence to resolve debates.
  • High agency, ownership, and the ability to act without waiting for permission.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience building for marketing, go-to-market, or revenue teams, such as in martech, event tech, CRM, or sales and marketing operations tooling; or personal experience planning and running events.
  • Experience integrating with CRMs and marketing platforms and helping teams demonstrate program returns.
  • Experience with marketplaces or products coordinating work among multiple parties, such as buyers, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Experience launching a new product line within a growing company and building its early customer community.

Responsibilities

  • Own product strategy and the roadmap for a product line serving teams that plan and host corporate events.
  • Own the end-to-end experience from initial planning and booking through the event and its follow-up.
  • Define how AI works within the experience, including what it handles, where people retain control, and how work moves between people and AI.
  • Own the product foundation, including core objects and connections to customers' existing business systems.
  • Work with founding customers to conduct discovery, share early versions regularly, and apply what is learned to product development.
  • Partner with design and engineering to ship a carefully crafted product at startup speed.
  • Prototype ideas directly before asking others to build them.
  • Work with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and the service team on launch, positioning, and adoption.
  • Coordinate with product managers across the product group, including teams responsible for marketplace, booking, and payments.
  • Define measures of success and drive prioritization using data, customer feedback, and business objectives.
