Product Manager- Enterprise Data

Victaulic•Easton, PA

About The Position

Victaulic is seeking a Product Manager for Enterprise Data to provide product leadership across its four enterprise data teams. The role owns the portfolio from identifying business problems through delivering products, working with business stakeholders to understand decisions and pain points, translate them into a prioritized roadmap, and guide delivery with Data Architecture & Engineering, Reporting & Analytics, Data Governance, and AI Engineering. The objective is to provide trusted, well-documented data that is ready for consumption. This is a product role rather than a project management or pure engineering role. It is a peer to the four functional data managers and three functional AI managers, and reports directly to the Director of Enterprise Data & AI. The Product Manager defines the enterprise data vision, roadmap, and success measures; owns and prioritizes the backlog; engages stakeholders; and coordinates agile delivery with functional teams. The role also works with BI to deliver curated datasets and dashboards, establishes consistent metrics, embeds governance and quality practices in data products, and measures outcomes such as adoption, time-to-insight, data quality, and business impact. In addition, the role establishes product management practices for Enterprise Data & AI Services, helps define a future domain-based Product Owner model, and mentors Product Owners once they are in place.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Data Science, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in data, analytics, or product roles, including at least 2 years managing data or analytics products.
  • Strong knowledge of Snowflake or a similar data management platform, including data modeling concepts, views, security and access roles, and performance and cost awareness.
  • Familiarity with Snowflake Cortex (Cortex Analyst, Cortex Search, or LLM functions) and how semantic models or views enable governed AI access to data.
  • Understanding of AI-ready data, including metadata, semantic definitions, data quality, lineage, and governance.
  • Experience with Qlik Cloud or a comparable visualization tool such as Power BI or Tableau, including working with developers to define requirements and metrics.
  • Demonstrated ability to work directly with business stakeholders, facilitate discovery, manage expectations, and drive adoption.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to senior leaders.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or another industrial environment.
  • Familiarity with ERP data such as Infor M3, SAP, or similar, as well as master data management and data governance concepts.
  • Working-level experience with dbt, SQL, or Python; developer-level expertise is not required.
  • Product management, agile, or data governance certifications, such as SAFe or CDMP.
  • Experience defining data contracts, SLAs, or data mesh and federated ownership models.

Responsibilities

  • Define the vision, roadmap, and success metrics for enterprise data.
  • Maintain a prioritized backlog that balances business value, effort, data readiness, and governance requirements.
  • Manage data as a product, with clear ownership, defined consumers, documented SLAs, versioning, and a lifecycle from discovery to retirement.
  • Serve as the primary contact for business leaders and process owners; lead discovery sessions, translate business questions into data requirements, and confirm outcomes after release.
  • Communicate roadmaps, trade-offs, and results to audiences ranging from analysts to senior executives.
  • Build a community of data product users and champions who provide regular feedback.
  • Own the enterprise data product backlog and write and refine epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria with functional teams.
  • Run a transparent intake and prioritization process using an agreed framework.
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint and release planning, and reviews, in partnership with functional managers.
  • Make and communicate trade-off decisions on scope, priority, and timing, and escalate conflicts to the Director when needed.
  • Track delivery against the roadmap and report progress, risks, and dependencies to leadership and the enterprise PMO.
  • Work with the BI team to deliver curated datasets and dashboards in Qlik Cloud, ensuring metrics are consistent and reusable across tools.
  • Define KPIs and metric definitions so metrics are consistent across the organization.
  • Track product usage and adoption, using findings to improve or retire products.
  • Work with Data Governance and Master Data Management to embed ownership, stewardship, data quality rules, access controls, and lineage into each product.
  • Ensure data products align with Victaulic's AI and data governance policies and risk classification standards.
  • Partner with engineers, architects, and analysts through agile delivery; write clear user stories and acceptance criteria and remove blockers.
  • Measure and report product outcomes, including adoption, time-to-insight, data quality, and business impact.
  • Establish product management practices, templates, and rituals for Enterprise Data & AI Services.
  • Help define the future Product Owner model by business domain and mentor Product Owners once they are in place.
  • Continuously improve how the data organization receives, prioritizes, and delivers work.
