About The Position

In the capacity of Product Manager, you will report directly to the Director of Product Management and assume a wide range of responsibilities. Your primary focus will encompass the research, analysis, and implementation of our Tools, General Industrial, and Safety product lines. Moreover, you will be instrumental in devising strategies to optimize profitability and support the broader goals of corporate growth, while providing essential assistance to field personnel. The position further involves shaping product category strategy, actively contributing to research and development initiatives, and leading the planning, negotiation, and evaluation of both new and existing products. Additionally, you will manage supplier negotiations, oversee various programs and services, and maintain a productive relationship between suppliers and Applied Industrial Technologies. This includes supporting inventory requirements, expediting products as necessary, and addressing challenges with effective problem-solving. You will also be responsible for developing inventory strategies to capture increased sales opportunities, managing the profitability and performance of existing products and services, and collaborating with key suppliers to implement marketing and sales programs that drive business growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, sales, marketing, or a related field.
  • Five to ten years of relevant product and industry experience.
  • Demonstrated initiative.
  • Strong motivation.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively across all organizational levels, both internally and externally.
