About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to join our team on a contract basis in Halifax, Nova Scotia. This is an exciting opportunity to shape and drive product strategy within the capital markets domain, working closely with engineering, UX/UI, and business stakeholders to deliver high-impact solutions. You will own the product lifecycle end-to-end — from discovery and roadmap definition through to delivery, testing, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 12+ years in IT experience
  • 5+ years of product management experience, with demonstrated expertise in capital markets or financial services
  • Strong understanding of capital markets products, trading workflows, or financial data platforms
  • Proven track record of delivering complex, cross-functional products in an Agile environment
  • Experience with data-driven prioritization, experimentation, and user research methodologies
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills at all organizational levels
  • Familiarity with enterprise technology integrations and third-party vendor partnerships
  • Experience with UX/UI collaboration and translating business needs into actionable product specs

Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate a compelling product vision and north star aligned with capital markets business objectives
  • Build and maintain prioritized product roadmaps and feature backlogs driven by strategic goals
  • Establish KPIs and success metrics to measure product value and track progress
  • Conduct in-depth client and market research to uncover pain points, needs, and opportunities in capital markets workflows
  • Lead ideation workshops and apply evidence-driven prioritization frameworks to evaluate features
  • Monitor the competitive landscape and emerging vendor solutions across the capital markets technology ecosystem
  • Collaborate with engineering and UX/UI teams to define detailed requirements, user journeys, and screen designs
  • Champion clear, well-elaborated acceptance criteria; empower engineering to flag unclear requirements
  • Manage cross-functional dependencies and ensure timely delivery of product milestones
  • Conduct QA, user validation sessions, and oversee UAT to ensure features meet client expectations
  • Leverage analytics and A/B testing to assess feature impact and drive continuous improvement
  • Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, clients, and delivery teams
  • Communicate product strategy and progress clearly to executives and senior leadership
  • Build trusted relationships with clients to ensure their voice shapes product direction
