About The Position

As a Product Manager, you’ll be part of our Outdoor Power Equipment team working as a hybrid employee. You’ll get to develop and execute a comprehensive strategic plan for the outdoor woodcutting battery product portfolio (Chainsaws & Pole Saws) with the underlying goal of market share and profitability enhancement. You will conduct end user research to identify market opportunities and drive decision making for projects in development, maintain a product roadmap and corresponding business cases focused on profitably meeting the needs of the end customer, and manage and lead the phase gate process for new product development, ensuring all tasks are completed and the project stays on pace. You will also understand the trends in the outdoor battery power equipment industry and related industries and develop a deep understanding of the end user to incorporate these insights into successful new product launches. Additionally, you will provide product training to internal and external stakeholders and partner with cross-functional teams including brand and category management to ensure products meet customer and business needs.

Requirements

  • Experience in Product Management
  • Proven results managing a product portfolio in the consumer goods industry or for the trades (landscaping, construction, etc.)
  • Ability to balance multiple brands to maximize market share and profitability
  • Financial acumen and analytical ability with a strategic mindset
  • Strong research skills, with attention to detail
  • Excellent written and presentation skills (small and large audiences)
  • End user obsession, consumer-first mindset, and desire to be “hands on” with products
  • Strong motivation with the ability to prioritize while not losing sight of the broader picture
  • A “can-do” attitude and the desire to go above and beyond in all you do
  • Team spirit combined with a high level of autonomy
