About The Position

The Product Manager – for Consumer & Business Products is responsible for the strategy, development, optimization, and lifecycle management of Lake Trust Credit Union’s retail and commercial banking product portfolio. This role ensures the credit union maintains a competitive, accessible, and mission-aligned suite of financial solutions for individuals and businesses, driving member and business acquisition, retention, and deepening of relationships across all segments. A central focus of this role is designing and evolving products that remove barriers and improve access, ensuring offerings are transparent, affordable, and aligned to long-term financial well-being. The Product Manager partners with cross-functional teams—including lending, onstage, marketing, analytics, digital, operations, compliance, and risk—to deliver products and experiences that strengthen member relationships and advance Lake Trust mission of improving financial lives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, consumer and/or business banking, fintech, or financial services.
  • Experience managing consumer and business financial products such as checking accounts, savings accounts, payments, debit, digital banking, or similar products.
  • Experience using data analytics, member insights, and market research to guide product decisions.
  • Experience working in a regulated financial environment preferred.
  • Experience supporting financial inclusion or underserved member segments is strongly preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree (MBA or related) preferred.
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Product Manager (CPM), Agile Product Owner, or similar credentials are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a holistic product strategy and roadmap across consumer and business banking. This including lending, deposits, digital experiences, and financial wellbeing tools—ensuring alignment with organizational growth goals while creating seamless, human-centered journeys that help individuals and businesses access, manage, and grow their financial lives.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of consumer and business products, including ideation, design, implementation, optimization, and retirement.
  • Evaluate and continuously improve the product portfolio (e.g., checking, savings, debit, and related banking solutions) to maintain competitiveness and relevance in the market.
  • Identify opportunities to acquire new members and deepen relationships with existing members through effective product design, bundling, and features.
  • Identify and deliver innovative product opportunities integrated within digital experiences, ensuring responsible growth, improved access for underserved members, and alignment with financial wellbeing outcomes.
  • Design and refine products that better serve Lake Trust’s current and prospective members, removing barriers to access and promoting financial resilience.
  • Analyze member behavior, market trends, competitive offerings, and internal data to inform product development and strategic decisions.
  • Define product requirements, success metrics, and performance indicators; monitor outcomes and adjust strategy as needed.
