About The Position

Notion is hiring a Product Manager to identify consequential customer problems and opportunities, set product strategy, and build products that make powerful capabilities feel simple, trustworthy, and delightful. The role works closely with design, engineering, data science, research, and go-to-market partners to shape Notion’s future. The Product Manager will take ideas from early exploration through launch, make tradeoffs among customer impact, business opportunity, technical complexity, speed, and product quality, and help shape how AI affects both Notion’s products and its ways of working. The role also raises the bar for product thinking by creating clarity, accelerating learning, and establishing lasting principles and success measures. The position can be based in San Francisco or New York City. Employees work from the office on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, which are Notion’s Anchor Days.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to identify meaningful customer problems and turn them into intuitive, useful products with a high level of craft.
  • Strong product judgment and ability to make sound tradeoffs among user experience, business impact, technical complexity, quality, and speed.
  • Track record of moving ambiguous, cross-functional work from problem definition to shipped outcomes while creating clear ownership and alignment.
  • Ability to learn directly from customers across segments and translate differing needs into a coherent strategy.
  • Practical AI fluency, including using AI to improve research, product thinking, decisions, and execution, and interest in rethinking how people and agents work together.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience building collaborative, productivity, or AI-powered products used by a broad range of customers.
  • Experience across both zero-to-one product development and improving products at scale.
  • Technical fluency and comfort partnering deeply with engineering on complex product systems.

Responsibilities

  • Identify consequential customer problems and product opportunities, then develop a focused strategy and roadmap.
  • Take ambitious product ideas from first principles through launch in partnership with design and engineering.
  • Balance customer impact, business opportunity, technical complexity, speed, and long-term product quality when making product decisions.
  • Use AI to improve research, decision-making, experimentation, and execution, and shape how people and agents work together.
  • Create clarity, accelerate learning, and establish enduring product principles and success measures across the team.

Benefits

  • Highly competitive cash compensation, equity, and benefits.
