About The Position

Kojo is a fast-growing construction technology company founded in 2018, aiming to transform the way commercial construction companies buy materials. The company is seeking a Product Manager to own the product strategy and decision-making for Kojo's Field app. This app is crucial for enabling field crews to access materials on job sites, serving over 600 leading contractors and facilitating over $5 billion in annual material purchases. The role involves making a historically software-averse industry adopt new technology by creating an intuitive and user-friendly experience. The Product Manager will report to the Lead Product Manager and will focus on simplifying complex workflows, leveraging AI to reduce friction for technology-cautious users, and ensuring the Field app is the preferred tool for daily use by construction crews.

Requirements

  • UX ownership: Personally owned the redesign of a workflow for a user who didn't want to change how they work, and can point to the before and after.
  • Mobile fluency: Shipped iOS, Android, or tablet products and understand the platform-specific tradeoffs a web-only PM misses.
  • Independent problem framing: Break down ambitious problems and turn them into actionable plans.
  • Multi-persona design: Designed a single product experience that serves multiple distinct user types without fragmenting into disjointed product workflows.
  • Cross-functional influence: Shipped work that depended on teams not managed, and know how to move a roadmap without formal authority.
  • Adaptability under shifting scope: Kept shipping while the ground moved under a role, priorities reordered, and scope got redrawn mid-quarter.
  • AI fluency: Shipped AI-assisted features, particularly to remove friction.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Field app roadmap end to end, from research through discovery, prototyping, experimentation, shipping, and iterating across mobile (iOS, Android, tablet) and web.
  • Radically simplify core field workflows to strengthen our position as the most user-friendly solution in the market.
  • Diagnose adoption barriers and time-saving opportunities across the wide range of workflows field users use to request material.
  • Break down undefined, ambiguous problems into shippable plans.

Benefits

  • New hire equity grant
  • Full suite of perks and benefits for US-based full-time employees
